Camille Joy DeCamp has represented and counseled major U.S. businesses, architects/engineers and other individuals in a wide variety of commercial and construction disputes, professional liability/architect and engineer liability matters, including construction and design defects, delay and disruption, product liability, and environmental/toxic torts, (including mold and indoor air quality issues). She has also represented developers in complex construction defect matters.

Ms. DeCamp also practices in the area of employment law. Her employment law practice includes employment law defense, including wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour matters, and related claims, and handling administrative charges. She has experience in the representation of businesses, including hospitality companies, small businesses, and individuals in employment, commercial and business litigation. Ms. DeCamp’s employment litigation practice includes: wage and hour matters, including class action lawsuits, wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment claims, and handling administrative charges. Her transactional employment work includes: drafting of EEOC and DFEH responses, witness interview and depositions, preparation of separation, settlement and employment agreements and assisting with reductions in force, counseling employers on state and federal regulation compliance, terminations and workplace policies, and assisting clients with training programs.

Ms. DeCamp’s business litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on consumer-related class action suits. Ms. DeCamp has extensive experience prosecuting, resolving, and defending complex class action litigation matters with an emphasis on claims involving product liability, false advertising, consumer fraud, breach of contract, unfair business practices, and other various California consumer statutes, as well as claims on behalf of the general public against businesses with respect to claims of unfair business practices and false advertising. Ms. DeCamp has appeared in state and federal courts. She also has experience in negotiating and drafting legislation, including testifying at California Assembly committee hearings.
Ms. DeCamp obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego. She received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Western Kentucky University. Ms. DeCamp has conducted extensive research primarily in the area of biopsychology and has published articles related to her research. She has also presented her research in psychology across the United States and in Europe.

Ms. DeCamp is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in California. She is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Ms. DeCamp is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the American Inns of Court, Louis M. Welsh Chapter.
