Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego in 2003. He then obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 2007, where he received the Witkin award and graduated with highest honors in both trial advocacy and appellate advocacy. Since that time, he has worked for prominent insurance defense firms, defending individual clients as well as national and international corporations throughout the country, handling claims involving catastrophic physical injuries, wrongful death, products liability, sexual assault, premises liability, and construction defects, among others. He has a very successful trial practice and has been recognized by the Super Lawyers publication as a “Rising Star” since 2015. He sat on the Board of Directors for the Solano County Bar Association from 2011-2015, serving as President in 2014. He is licensed to practice in all California State Courts as well as the United States District Court in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. Mr. Smith has been married for 19 years and has two young sons. In his free time, he enjoys golf, endurance sports, and the outdoors.
